March 18, 1939 to May 12, 2023

Helen N. Rollins was born on March 18, 1939, in Beaver, Utah, to Seldon and Delia Nowers and passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2023.
She married her sweetheart Carlyle M. Rolllns on July 15, 1958, and together had four children, Shane (Melinda); Curt (Anita); Nicole (Steve) and Chance (Paige); and extended family, Linette Rollins. Presently she has 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Helen was employed in her earlier years as an operator for the telephone company and then served as a security officer at various racetrack venues.
After relocating to Vernal in 1969 Helen enjoyed riding with the ladies of the Dinah Spurs and participating in their activities. She always had a love for horses and that can be documented by her ownership, training, participating and love of horse racing across the Western states.
As long as she was physically able, you could see Helen at any and all activities, sports, dance recitals, or otherwise, of all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as this was her most favorite pastime. Her family was her greatest treasure.
Survived by children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Mecham; sister-in-law, Geraldine Haycock; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Gerald Nowers, Shorty Nowers and Bobby Nowers; sisters, Eileen Osborne and Margaret Jarvis; and granddaughter, Falon Henriquez.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 12 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 235 E. 600 S., Vernal, Utah. Viewings will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blackburn and Sons Vernal Mortuary and Wednesday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to the love of her life. Services are entrusted to the care of Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary.
