Jon Snyder, of Vernal, Utah, passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on Feb. 14, 1953, in La Jolla, California, to Sam and Bonnie Snyder.
Jon graduated from Uintah High School and went on to attend college in Rangely, Colorado. Later he graduated with a degree in Accounting from Utah State University. Jon became the owner of Mr. S Clothing which brought him joy and success.
Jon leaves behind his beloved wife, Julie Ann Miller; his daughter, Brianne (Troy) Oldham of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Brogan (Kyrsti Lund) Snyder of Colorado Springs, Colorado; as well as his seven loving grandchildren. His parents precede him in death.
Jon possessed an engagingly warm personality that naturally drew people to him. He had an unwavering commitment to his family and strongly believed in the importance of hard work and education.
Jon was an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, mentoring the youth in that direction. He became a trainer and a leader in the fitness world locally by example for others to follow.
Jon also had a kind heart. He would always take the time to listen to others no matter what he was doing, it seemed that helping others was a top priority.
Jon will always be remembered for his wealth of knowledge and business acumen that he imparted to others.
Funeral services for Jon will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Vernal 9th Ward Chapel, with viewings on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Saturday at the chapel one hour prior to service.
Jon’s memory will forever be cherished by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him personally or professionally.
