March 3, 1935 to January 29, 2023

Kay Chamberlain Anderson passed away at the age of 87, on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, in an Assisted Living Facility in Vernal, Utah. She was born on Mar. 3, 1935, in Ogden, Utah, to Walter Alonzo Chamberlain and Helen Elizabeth Rhees. Kay was the youngest of five children, Beverly, Bob, Joyce, Janeen and Kay, all of whom were raised in Honeyville, Utah.
As a child and in her youth, Kay enjoyed growing up at the Crystal Springs, where she learned to swim, ride horses, rollerskate, dance and work. Kay attended school in Brigham City at Box Elder High where she met Larrie Carl Anderson and they were married on Jan. 2, 1952. They had six children, Greg, Larrie, Denise, Barbara, Robert and Cheryl, and later adopted their great-granddaughter, Mackenzie. Larrie and Kay have 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Kay worked at many different jobs in the field of customer service, but especially enjoyed working during the 1970s at a Veterinary Hospital while living in Northridge, California.
Throughout the 1980s she travelled to many parts of the world with Larrie while he was employed as a Location Auditor for Walt Disney Studios. They later retired in Bear Valley Springs, Tehachapi, California, for about 27 years, and Kay subsequently moved to Vernal, Utah, in about 2005.
Family and friends will meet together for a viewing on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, located at 15 E. 100 N., Vernal, Utah. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at 12 noon at the Ben Lomond Cemetary, located at 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, Utah.
