Chance Smith passed away on Jan. 30, 2023, at the age of 19. Chance was born on Oct. 27, 2003, to Michelle Smith in Craig, Colorado.

Chance enjoyed riding his ATV, camping and gaming with his family and friends. Chance graduated from Uintah High School in 2022 and was currently attending UBTech in Roosevelt.

Chance is survived by his brother, Nathan Smith; grandfather, Roger Smith; uncle, Brian (Liana) Smith of Vernal; uncle, Jeremy (Sheila) Smith of Stratford, Oklahoma; several cousins; great-grandparents, Irene and Frank Engle; and great-aunt and uncle, Norma and Rex Catt.

Chance lost his mother Michelle Smith in Nov. of 2019 and his grandmother Wanda Smith in Jan. of 2019.
