Rachel Amber Roberts

Rachel Amber Roberts was born on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1993; she left this world on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at the age of 29.

Rachel graduated from Uintah High in 2012 and then attended UBATC. Rachel worked for Uintah Recreation District in the childcare department for 11 years. During that time, she made so many friends and cared for children from all over Vernal. She loved crafting, joking with the kids and taking numerous pictures with each one of them.

Rachel was born with fire and spark that no one saw coming. Rachel loved animals and from the time she was old enough, she raised, cared for and showed hogs through 4-H. She continued doing this until she was no longer able due to her age.

She always had some kind of pet following her around. She had three beloved dogs that were every part of her soul, including her current dog, Stoney, whom she loved with all of her heart. He was a constant companion to her and was always very protective. Even though she loved all kinds of animals she also thoroughly loved to hunt. Rachel enjoyed many hunting trips with her father, Troy; brother, Jade; and uncle, Travis.

Rachel loved painting, playing board games, going camping, fishing, and taking razor rides. She was the queen of the tubing hills, and she always took out numerous people on her way down! Rachel had a deep and profound love of horses and they of her. Rachel was the keeper of all memories with her camera in hand to capture every person and every moment. She loved to send cards (Hallmark is going to suffer from her passing), letters and pictures to all she loved and never missed a birthday or achievement anyone had.

Rachel’s favorite thing to do was to just be with family and friends. She was truly loved by everyone she knew. Despite her many challenges, she would always ask what she could do for others. There was never a day that she didn’t ask you if you needed anything. Her big heart will be missed by this community.

Despite Rachel’s many obstacles in life, she was determined to gain her independence. She obtained her driver’s license and was able to purchase a van. One of her biggest dreams of owning her very own home became reality due to her determination. Rachel always reached for the stars and because of her hard work and stubbornness, she was able to accomplish so many amazing things. She never met a stranger and always went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. She was always giving everyone a hard time and loved to make everyone laugh, she would smile and laugh while mowing you down with her wheelchair. We will miss the many camping trips and hayrides.

Rachel is survived by her beloved dog, Stoney, her parents, Troy Roberts and Dana Roberts( Art Hansen); her brother and partner in crime, Jade Roberts (Ashley); her precious niece, Kenzley; nephew, Carter; uncle, Tobin (Wendi) Roberts; uncle, Travis (Gena) Roberts; aunt, Deah Roberts; uncle, Todd Roberts (Pauline); aunt, Brinney Harrison (Bobby); uncle, Herb Hatch (Billie); aunt, Jana Fulks (Dave); grandmothers, Garnet Hatch; Elaine Corless; and Nada Hatch; numerous cousins; and dozens of kids she called her nieces and nephews.
