On Friday, September 20, Uintah High School celebrated its centennial year with a wonderful homecoming parade with families of students and alumni gathered under the clear blue sky, sharing stories and celebrating the school’s rich legacy. Floats adorned with vibrant colors and handmade decorations rolled down Main Street, showcasing the rich history of the school. The Hope Squad’s float, themed “Mental Health Unmuted,” featured students passing out candy to future students.

Uintah’s sports teams sported players walking the streets in gear, with the soccer team even letting excited kids score mini goals. Alumni from decades past joined the parade too, reminiscing about their own high school days as they waved from their decorated vehicles.

“My friends and I who were in charge of the National Honor Society float were a little worried… Thanks to Basin Flood and Fire’s truck and trailer we managed to pull it off.” Said student Lois Lyman. Uintah High school’s students are grateful to have such a prideful community that allows them to truly show their school spirit.
