Concurrent Enrollment: A Pathway to Success for Uintah Basin Students

James Shavanaux-Dunn felt stuck. School wasn’t engaging, motivation was slipping, and the future felt uncertain. But everything changed when he transferred to Uintah River High School in Fort Duchesne. With the support of parents, teachers, and administrators, he found a renewed sense of purpose. Then he discovered Concurrent Enrollment—a program that allows high school students to take real college courses while still in high school. That one decision changed everything. Now, Shavanaux-Dunn is taking as many Concurrent Enrollment classes as possible, working toward a General Education Certificate that can be transferred to any public university in Utah.

This month I am reviewing the book I just finished the autobiography My Squirrel Days by Ellie Kemper. This book is about the actresses life from the time she was a kid in school to her television debut. This is a great read letting the reader into all parts of her life from the good to the bad and everything in between.
