Ashley Valley Food Pantry

Monday,10 a.m.–2 p.m., Wednesday 2-6 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The Food Pantry accepts in-kind donations as well as monetary. Food items may be taken to the Vernal food pantry. Out-of-date food items are accepted. You may call 435-789-1014 for more information.

Zentangle Art Class

Tuesday, weekly 1-2 p.m., Uintah County Library. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. It is a fascinating new art form that is fun and relaxing. It increases focus and creativity. Zentangle provides artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of personal well-being.

Beekeeping Club

Tuesday, 7-9 p.m., Uintah County Library. Are you a beekeeper? Do you want to learn more? Join the Uintah Beekeepers Club “The Bee’s Knees” with Justin Mills as our local beekeeping expert. Uintah Basin Beekeepers Club the first Tuesday of every month.

Yoga Stories

Tuesday, weekly, 10-11 a.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Wear cozy clothes and join us as we narrate a story while moving through yoga poses. All ages welcome.

Senior Social Hour

Tuesday, weekly, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal, Downstairs Conference Room. Join us for Senior Social Hour! Where the 55+ members of our community can come and socialize. Each week there will be a different activity to participate in. And for the last Tuesday of each month in lieu of an activity there will be a movie shown.

Lego Club

Tuesday, weekly, 4-5 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Come visit us in the large conference room! All ages welcome! Everyone can build with us! We have traditional LEGO as well as LEGO Duplo and Mega Bloks. Weekly building challenges, and your creations will be displayed in the Children’s Area! No need to sign up. Children 8 years and under must have a responsible person 14 or older with them.

Songs & Stories

Wednesday, weekly 11-11:30 a.m., Thursday, weekly 1-1:30 p.m., 2-2:30 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Children’s Area. Preschool-age children learn skills needed for school with our songs, stories, and crafts in each 30-minute session.

Knights of Virtue

Wednesday, weekly, 1-2:30 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Downstairs Conference Room. History “Love of Learning” club for boys 8-12. Get messy! Have adventures! Make friends! Boys need heroes and mentors. Knights of Virtue members learn about great leaders and statesmen through reading biographies. They meet together weekly for hands-on, creative, and exploratory experiences designed to inspire a love of learning and appreciation of greatness. Prayer will start our class and God will be spoken of. This year we will learn about Heroes Who Performed Well (Performing Arts) and Heroes Who Were Curious (Scientists).

STEM H2O Activity

Wednesday, weekly, 4-5 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Tweens, Children. Join us for adventures with water! We will do activities and experiments, with snacks provided. Each month we will focus on another aspect of H2O and our world. See the attached Student Passport for activities relating to this month’s activities and experiments!

Library Code Club

Thursday, weekly. 4-5 p.m., Uintah County Library, 204 E. 100 N., Vernal. Tweens, Children, Teens. Code Club gives youth the opportunity to learn computer programming by completing fun projects such as programming games. Youth learn to code in Scratch, HTML/CSS, and Python, all valuable job skills, but also boosts their problem-solving skills. The library Code Club meets each Thursday afternoon), all youth are invited to apply for the club. The requirements for Code Club: Explore Code Club Content by reading and watching tutorials. Dinner and Bingo
