Joseph Randal Pedersen was born on Dec. 11, 1974, in Logan, Utah, to Gary Leon Pedersen and Annette Cowley Pedersen. He passed away on May 10, 2023, in Bismarck, North Dakota. He was known to his family as Randy and to his coworkers and friends as Joe. He was an inspiring and generous soul, whose witty and wise nature made him a joy to be around. Joseph Randal’s greatest joy in life was his children, and he would do anything to ensure they were well taken care of. On May 10, 2023, the world lost a truly remarkable and kind-hearted man.
Joseph Randal’s passion for music led him to learn guitar and bass guitar, joining a band during his younger years. He loved taking apart radios and stereos and putting them back together, showcasing his talent for understanding complex electronics. Joseph Randal enjoyed going to concerts, spending time with friends and family and camping at Bear Lake with his children. He also found joy in golfing with his friend, Vern. He graduated from Sky View High School and worked various jobs while taking classes to become an E-Tech. His dedication and hard work eventually led him to be promoted to a lead E-Tech at ProFrac, working in various locations such as Utah, Wyoming, Texas and North Dakota.
Joseph Randal is survived by his children, Katelin Pedersen and Wyatt Pedersen; his parents, Annette Pedersen and Gary Pedersen; his stepmother, Lorna Pedersen; his siblings and their spouses, Justin Pedersen, Kris Pedersen, Erica Flugan (Kristofer), Anna-Maria Pedersen and Erin Johnson (Brandt); eight nieces and nephews; too many cousins to count; and his ex-wife, Melanie Carter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Viewing prior to service will be held from 10 to 10:20 a.m. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
