December 22, 1952 to January 16, 2023

Deborah Ann (Cole) Powell passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at the age of 70. Deborah was born on Dec. 22, 1952, to Ethyl Cain and Marion Cole in Madisonville, Kentucky. After her parents divorced, her mom married Albert Santisteven and he treated her as his own.

Deborah married Roger Powell on Dec. 17, 1977, in Sturgis, Kentucky. She enjoyed playing and singing Christian music, cooking, church gathering dinners, car rides to the mountains, camping, any family gathering and sharing her love for The Lord with others.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Powell; sister, Lynda Whittum; daughters, Wendy (Travis) Keyser and Belinda (Armando) Becerril; son, Houston (Jennifer) Powell; granddaughter, Kimberly McConkie; grandson, Tony Powell; and stepfather, Albert Santisteven.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion Cole and Ethyl (Cain) Santisteven; and stepmother, Norma Santisteven.

Funeral services for Deborah were on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., all at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
